I'm going to combine the sixth and seventh questions from the questionnaire, because the answers to both are short:
What sound or noise do you hate?
Construction noise.
There's not a lot to say about this. Cacophony of any sort bothers me. Construction noise epitomizes it, but other examples abound:
- Noisy crowds.
- Leaf blowers and other such unnecessary noise pollution.
- Sepultura
- Most compositions by Arnold Schönberg.
- Any speech by George W. Bush
What is your favourite curse word?
I don't do bad language on this blog. Let's just say that it's a compound string of words, and it's very evocative. I use it when I hear some of the examples above.
