Church slogans

The local church with the marquee sign, which I’ve mentioned here a few times before, recently posted one I hadn’t seen there before:

GOD WILL SUPPLY
ALL YOUR NEEDS

It  continues  to amaze me  that people  can make  such  obviously  empty  claims. Ask this young woman’s family if all her needs were supplied. We’re talking, here, about meanings of “supply”, “all”, and “needs” with which I’m unfamiliar.

A billboard in Pennsylvania tells us this:

Blessed is the nation whose god is the lord.

— Psalms 33:12

Yes, that explains things. If only we would codify our national religion — and make sure it bows to the correct god — we’d see no more of the above. I’m sure they’re right about that....

On the lighter side, this cutesy blurb, on a church in Virginia, is right up there with the “free faith lift” one:

THE BEST VITAMIN FOR
A CHRISTIAN IS B1

Amusing, but in that vein I think I’ll try vitamin C instead.

I want to get a bumper sticker made that says something like:

Avalokiteshvara bless Botswana!

Oh.

This church around the area has a sign that reads...

" Ch__rch. What's missing? U R!"

Cheesy.

Thanks for adding that, Sergio.

As James pointed out in this comment, there must be a list of these somewhere, which the churches get them from, because the same ones show up regularly, here and there.

You mean they aren't all taken out of Deuteronomy? Well that's it then, I'm becoming an athiest!
